According to Property Finder’s data for March 2023, the demand for two-bedroom apartments in Dubai has surpassed that of one-bedroom units. The rise in demand can be attributed to new consumer preferences, such as a growing inclination towards ownership and an influx of families searching for a second home. Additionally, after the pandemic outbreak, residents moved out of their apartments to live in separate, more spacious homes, leading to an increase in demand for villas and townhouses.
Property Finder’s data reveals that in the rental segment, 79.8% of tenants are looking for apartments, while 20.2% are interested in villas and townhouses. The data also highlights that 63.8% of tenants looking for apartments for a longer stay prefer furnished properties, while 34.4% are searching for unfurnished apartments. For tenants who can afford to rent a villa or townhouse, around 52.1% were looking for unfurnished units, while 46.8% were looking for furnished villas or townhouses.
